Reality Check
the shadowy figure approaches
crazy close up of Richard Bayliss as the zombie
imitation of the infamous bruce campbell stare as seen in the evil dead trilogy
gamer finds out he can't let go off the light gun and now zombies are approaching
when i was writing the script a friend of mine at the time said he'd turn it into a comic, but he never did.
Crazy angle shot as the horror continues
the situation is getting worse
Bayl's craptastic make-up fx was mainly a handful of flour thrown on his face then a spattering of red food colouring, did the job though.
Think this was a still for effect, think the hand's belong to Luke Mortimer
I got the dead head prop from school, the drama dept let me have it because they were throwing it out. I had to carry the damn thing around with me all day, through my lessons, in a thin bag. Got a lot of attention i can tell you, think few people punched it and that developed into a nice crack on the forehead.......where is the head now? i think i know and may use it in a scene in Evil Spirits
First page of my early Reality Check script, complete with ambitious storyboards covering the sides....Ahh nostalgia!
As the zombies get closer i try to figure out the secret of the handgun that is actually just a game controller
Zombie bayl just won't stay dead for long
A decapitated head hidden in the bushes. There was a scene where the zombies throw the head over the fence and it lands at my feet, we had only two desk lamps to light the scene and i threw it over for someone to catch off screen. Anyway it hit's and smashes one light and then were down to one for the rest of the night.
Bayl applying a fresh coat of blood to my white t-shirt, unfortunatly it soaked ALL the way through and i had to put the dam thing on!
I kept this shirt for almost the entire period we shot for. Had to keep it bagged so it wouldn't stink up my cupboard
My drawing impression of the film, love my hair
I remember Bayl messing around with the dead head prop, not sure where the hell the wig came from though :#
Messing around before people show up to shoot.
Bayl messing with dead head. Bought the smoke machine to add effect for some of the exterior scenes, tested it worked fine. That night tried it and SURPRISE! didn't even turn on....one of many problems on set
